Department of Cardiology

Ashok Hospital is a leading cardiac care center, committed to delivering high-quality, affordable, and timely heart care. Our cardiology department is equipped with modern technology and supported by an experienced team of interventional cardiologists, cardiac anaesthesiologists, and trained nursing staff. We follow a “Heart Team” approach – where complex cases are reviewed jointly to plan the safest and most effective treatment for every patient.

We specialize in both non-invasive and invasive cardiology, ensuring seamless care from diagnosis to recovery.

Our Commitment

Our nephrologists strive to deliver the best possible care to patients suffering from acute or chronic kidney diseases, combining clinical excellence with compassion and a commitment to improving quality of life.

Non-Invasive & Preventive Cardiology

  • ECG – Quick and reliable heart electrical assessment

  • Echocardiography with Doppler – Detailed imaging of heart structure and function

  • TMT (Treadmill Test) – Stress testing to detect hidden heart issues

  • ABPM (Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring) – 24-hour BP assessment

  • 24-hour Holter Monitoring – Continuous rhythm tracking

  • CT Coronary Angiography – Non-invasive imaging of coronary arteries

Early detection saves lives. Our preventive cardiology program helps identify risks before they become emergencies.

Frequently Asked Questions

We offer a complete range of cardiac services including non-invasive diagnostics (ECG, 2D Echo with Doppler, TMT, Holter, ABPM, CT Coronary Angiography) and interventional cardiology (angiography, angioplasty, rotablation, HD-IVUS, pacemaker/ICD implantation, EP study & ablation, and emergency heart attack interventions).

  • Yes. Our cath lab and cardiac team are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for emergency heart attack (acute MI) interventions. We prioritize rapid door-to-balloon time to save heart muscle and lives.

Most of our coronary procedures are done through the radial artery (wrist) instead of the femoral (groin) route. This means less pain, lower risk of bleeding, faster recovery, and you can walk soon after the procedure.

HD-IVUS (High-Definition Intravascular Ultrasound) is an advanced imaging tool that lets us see inside the coronary arteries. It helps measure exact plaque size, degree of narrowing, and ensures accurate stent placement – leading to better long-term results.

Rotablation is used for hard, calcified blocks that cannot be opened with a regular balloon or stent. A high-speed diamond-tipped burr grinds away the calcium, allowing smooth stent deployment.

Yes. We implant all types of cardiac devices including:

  • Single & Dual chamber pacemakers

  • CRT (Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy)

  • AICD (Automatic Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator)

  • LBBB pacing (physiological pacing)

All our non-invasive tests – ECG, 2D Echo with Doppler, TMT, 24-hour Holter, ABPM, and CT Coronary Angiography – can be done on an OPD basis without hospital admission, as advised by the cardiologist.

You should consider a cardiac evaluation if you have:

  • Chest pain or discomfort

  • Shortness of breath

  • High blood pressure or diabetes

  • Family history of heart disease

  • Smoking or sedentary lifestyle

  • Palpitations or unexplained fatigue

Early detection can prevent a heart attack. Walk in or book an appointment online.
